Many of you may remember Warren Featherstone Reid for his work nationally as Warren Magnuson's Chief of Staff, and locally, helping to establish the Warren G. Magnuson Health Sciences Center at the University of Washington, and in policy positions in Olympia.
In 1994, the Legislature created the Warren Featherstone Reid Award for Excellence in Health Care to recognize cost-effective and quality health care services. This award is given annually to providers and facilities in Washington State who exhibit exceptional quality and value in the delivery of health services. The State Board of Health is now accepting nominations for this award. Nominate providers and facilities that deserve to be honored as centers of quality for improving management practices, increasing value, expanding access, and maximizing customer satisfaction.
Nominations must be received by May 1, 2010. For more information, or to obtain a nomination form, please call the State Board of Health at 360-236-4110 or visit their website.
